This lot is culled from videos I shot back in the late 80's and early 90's.
I shot these for my own pleasure, putting groovy music to them and suchlike
never dreaming in a million years I would put the contents on public display.
Well, things DO change, then, don't they.
These were shot on a Hi-8 vidcam; and were distressingly bad;
The white balance was all off, and at those high altitudes(4000-9000 ft)
UV was a major factor- and the only copy I had was a second gen VHS.:P
which I bounced over to a DV cam. White balance was godawful on the original,
so I killed the color and tweezed brightness and contrast to get a passable result.
These shots date from 1987-1989.

Looking west up Ute Pass on US 24, west of Colorado Springs.
A truss bridge on US 24 EAST of the Springs.
Contrasting hard shoulder and main lanes, US 24.
US 24 had red pavement on this section in eastern El Paso county, CO.
For our railfan friends-an old(even in 1989) Alaska Railway locomotive.
Front on shot of the above.
And a side view. I think this old hoss was ready for it's last trip to the glue factory.
I thought I was SO Clever solarizing this snap of a bridge in Pueblo. It went south in the early 90's. This is the only pic I have of it-done in 1989.
Royal Gorge Bridge. Like most suspension bridges, I couldn't manage a walk across it-I have a fear of heights, and it didn't help that the wind was blowing at about a million miles an hour. I could picture myself kiting off into the Arkansas River Canyon.
This was as far as I got-below the first tower. :P
Note the flags in this shot. I wanted to CRAWL off the bridge, I was so scared.
A long shot from the northeast from safe solid ground.
This road lead into the Arkansas River Canyon, below the bridge at one time. Note the hi-standard tunnel.
Another one, just like the other one!
Concrete section of US 85-US 87. This one between the Springs and Pueblo.
Ute Pass, CO-US 24 looking east.
CO 83 between Colo. Spgs and Castle Rock
Tunnel on CO 67's Cripple Creek section. This tunnel is bypassed now. This is a 1989 shot.
Looking in the tunnel.
Railway Plate for the tunnel.
Some more CO 67 south of the tunnel.
Old school CO Shield. This is the only one I ever saw-located in Victor at the end of CO 67.
On IH 25 near Greenland.
IH 25 in Metro Denver,
North of the IH 225 junction.
This is the former Evans Avenue overpass,
replaced in the T-REX project.
A Colorado and Southern railway overpass just north of the previous shot.
This was removed in the T-Rex Project.

Colorado Blvd. Overpass(I think) of IH 25.

CA Style gantry on the IH 25. In '89 these were on the way out, being replaced by PA style tiny gantries.
Going thru the 6th Ave Freeway junction in Denver-the Flyovers are from US 6 to IH 25. These were relatively new in 1989.
The US 6 overpass of IH 25
Mile High Stadium-another casualty of time. This has been replaced by a hugely ugly structure: which you can find out about here. This site is now being "Landscaped". :P
A bridge w/"Hammerhead" Style pier.
IH 25 at JN 212.
Another casualty of time, here-this was a long viaduct.
It was for 16th Street, replaced recently(as of 2007) by a pedestrian bridge.
Advance signage for IH 76-this was before the link to IH 70 was completed.
Much farther north on IH 25-North of CO 1.
IH 25 takes a jog at a junction north of Denver.
Back to US 24 between Colo Spgs and Limon-here's an old bridge-now on private property.
IH 25 looking north from the Bijou Street Overpass(mp 142).
Now we time warp to 1987, looking at the US 48(IH 68 to YOU pal!) freeway from the Monroe Street overpass-west of JN 44.

There's the sign :)
Looking east on US 40 at the above location.
PA 31 shield in Somerset PA
US 40 and US 48 in the distance, Western MD
Huge excitement in Friendsville, MD. You'd never think that a place like this would produce a mayor that caused a scandal by exposing himself.
A US 48 bridge at Friendsville.
Looking north on MD 42 toward JN 4 on US 48
The junction sign. Wonder if MD sent all these lil suckers to VA?

The US 40(now Alt US 40) and US 48 bridges on the Casselman.
