New York Pict Mission Sawyer Kill Bridges
Now I found this little bridge at the northeastern end of Saugerties, Just where US 9W leaves the Village to the north. It's awfully dinky-if it's 16' wide, I'm the Queen Mum('allo, darlin!). I don't know if this was ever a part of US 9W, but, what they hey, I thought I'd snap it just the same.

Old Sawyer Kill Bridge

Here's the little sucker now, looking north along a track running thru a local field. Those kids in the far background prolly think I'm nuts taking snaps of a silly little bridge.
If they ever find this website, They'll know they were right.

Broken Railing

Here's that missing chunk you might've noticed in the last picture.

Now here's the modern US 9W span from the side....

....and from the top. It's recent constuction, probably late 90's, I'm guessing. The Mutated stop sign at the right says "Park closes at 9 PM" referring to Seamons Park which is to the right of this picture.

Old and new bridges

And here's a shot of the bridges side-by side.  A friendly duck was hanging around prolly
wondering just what I was up to.
