Now
here's a bunch of shots in the same general area-the Main Street
Junction on US 9 in Peekskill. This is about 1 mile SE of the Bear
Mountain Parkway JN. This is a freeway, but the Speed Limit is 45 MPH.

Looking
North towards Bear Mountain Parkway JN. Note the lack of a BGS for
this junction.

A
closeup of the sign assembly that stands in for a Big Green Sign. I
have no idea why US 9 and NY 35 haven't any cardinal direction
plates. NYSDOT does this at a lot of elevated junctions; I guess to
save money...

Looking
southbound at road level-I'm near the "Hospital" sign in
the top snap(you can see the back of it). You can't read them, but
you can see the headroom plates on the bridge. Inside headroom is
13'6", outside headroom is 10' and change. There is a ½
mile warning for the impaired headroom.

Just
south of the bridge, is...another bridge. The Peekskill railway
station is to the right, downtown to the left.

And
here's the end of NY 35. The bridge over US 9 is beyond the sign
assembly, that blue car is leaving the slip road from US 9 North.
There is no END sign-NY 35 also uselessly multiplexes with US 6 and
202 to this point. The money NYSDOT could've saved by not posting NY
35 signs thru Peekskill could've been spent on a proper BGS for US 9 :)
