Is this
Phaze II of Lumpy Gravy?
The history of
The Comrade Yämamøto Experience
is a long and painful story of self sacrifice and
personal heroism
that will bring a tear to the eye of anyone who reads it.
Ummm, not rilly, but it does SOUND GOOD doesn't it?
This page covers both the 1998 and the 2001+ sites.

| ‘C.C. Slater's Highway Extravaganza’ was posted on Geocities from 1996-1998. It was a response to Scott Oglesby's injunction to ‘Get out and hack something’. This site presented freeway junction lists (some of the first-it was the first to use graphics), As well as state highway lists. |

For those who care: Here's the Yama-Mantra:
WITH explanations!
"Top Ho and Spiffing": This actually dates
from my radio gig. The saying was found on the back of a 12" single for
some 80's gurly hair band from GB: The cover of this record advertised
a "Top Ho and Spiffing version of 'Spirit In The Sky'". I don't know
about that, I never listened to it. Suppose I shoulda.
"Builds Strong Karma 12 Ways":
I heard this somewhere, I don't recall where , but I didn't think it up. I'm not that clever.
"High Power Wide" and "Enjoy Grand Touring" come from Japanese Road atlases.
"A Quinn Martin Production" should be familiar to anyone who has ever had a television.
The diacriticals in Ymamto are an offhand tribute to OG ‘Ren and Stimpy’
I use the Texas convention ‘IH’ because I like it,
it bugs ppl, like Chris Jordan, and Dave ‘Kooky’ Kendrick, always a plus.
See, my ‘effete’ don't estink.

That's the way the Japanese write YAMAMOTO
and the image comes from The Justly Famous Scott Oglesby(Kurumi).
Thanks to Robert Droz for
maintaining the Highway Sign Boo-Teek and the link from his website,
as well as the ‘Flash’ picture used on the entry page,
and general cheerleading.
Nobody likes Bob Chessick or SPUI,
but they saved us all a lot of investigative work by
caching my old site and returning it to me.
Chris Jordan gave me the FWHA fonts;
he did the "Self Destruct Timer" used on the entry pages,
and Any Albany, NY area page has info from him.
Doug Kerr is quite often the chauffeur while I take snaps at road meets.
and to Mike Triskele, who made up the "Roadgeek Series 2000/2k5" Fonts,
which look so much like FWHA fonts,
even the late Wesley Willis couldn't tell the difference.
Henry Earl is just too damn drunk to get a handle on that action.
Justin Cozart gave me the idea for the graphical junction lists,
which he featured on his former "Tropical Turnpikes" site.
The avalancha(the little go-kart) symbol is inspired by Cafe Tacuba.
it resembles an image found on the cover art of Avalancha de Exitos.
